The citizens of Bansko are famous with their patriotism and their strong attachement to the traditions. All of them, children and adults, keep the local originality of the culture in Bansko.
When the citizens enter the Town Hall they put their shoes off. It is a question of honour when matters of common interests are disscused it is done in the local dialect.
The locals erected an impressive christian orthodox temple even at the time of Ottoman domination.The church tower which is a symbol of the town, was build in 1850. Everyday the town is awoken by 15-minutes chime.
The people of Bansko are very hospitable and friendly with tourists and willingly give directions to them, when they are asked.
